While operating tours and trekking program, Peak Himalaya Adventure is committed to minimizing the negative impact of tourism. We are very much conscious of our responsibility to protect and preserve our indigenous cultures of our ancestors and preserve the fragile environment.
• We strive to enable our communities to develop a healthy, sustainable local economy and environment while maintaining their cultural pride and heritage. We want to make our communities aware of the significance of our cultural heritage. We offer enjoyable experiences to our clients through meaningful connection with our local people and urge them to contribute financially by buying their local handicraft products, eat locally produced foods and use local homes/inns.
• On the environmental issue, we co-ordinate with various non-profit making organizations by contributing 3 to 5% from our annual profit to launch free plantation program in the school and deforested lands. • The rise in temperature in the entire part of Nepalese Himalayas poses a serious threat to mountain people due to high risk of Glacial Lake Outbursts Floods (GLOFs). Peak Himalaya Adventure appeals the world community to find a common solution to save the Himalayas from global warning.
• Most of the mountain areas in Nepal are badly affected by soil erosion, landslides, forest fires, deforestation, we have initiated some activities in collaboration with the local NGOs, village committee to protect and preserve our degraded land and environment. |
