Overview

Yala is a "trekking peak" in the Langtang Region of Nepal. It is categorized as an easy climbing peak as per the Alpine Grading System although this can vary by a point or so depending on the snow conditions. The peak is seldom climbed in its own right, often being used as a warm-up for Naya Kanga on the opposite side of the valley. The summit gives surprisingly good views of Shishapangma if you are lucky enough with the weather. The route involves a base camp at the end of the trail and a high camp a further half day trek beyond base camp.We explore the Langshisa glacier to help us acclimatise, establishing a high camp at 4800 meters from where we make our summit bid. We will have a stunning views of Lantang Lirung (7235m), Lenpo Gang (7063m), Dorje Lakpa (6975m) and mighty Shishapangma (8020m) with some amazing views of Tibet

Itinerary

Day 01          :          Arrival Kathmandu air port transfer hotel

Day 02          :          Kathmandu Sightseeing and trek/ climbing preparation

Day 03          :          Drive to Dhunche (8hrs) (2030m) & trek to Syabru Besi (1460m)

Day 04          :          Trek to Lama Hotel (2410m)

Day 05          :          Trek to Langtang Valley (3330m)

Day 06          :          Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3730m)

Day 07          :          Rest day

Day 08          :          Trek to Yala Peak Base Camp

Day 09          :          Summit Yala Peak (5520m) & return to Kyanjin Gompa

Day 10          :          Trek to Lama Hotel

Day 11          :          Trek to Syabru Bensi

Day 12          :          Drive back to Kathmandu (8hrs)

Day 13          :          Free day in Kathmandu

Day 14          :          Transfer to Airport for your onward destination
