Overview
Mt. Baruntse (7129m) is one of the most beautiful and accessible 7000m. peaks in Nepal. It lies in the heart of the Khumbu massif to the west of Mt Makalu(8463m). The Baruntse Base Camp at an altitude around 5400m is surrounded by some of the world’s famous peaks: Everest, Amadablam, Lhotse and many others. This peak is technically not so demanding, as compared to Amadablam and Pumori, though it offers a good experience of snow and ice climb with some ice cliff obstacle. The south -East Ridge of Mt. Baruntse is a bit difficult because of being straightforward ascent. The expedition trip begins at Lukla and takes across the Hongu valley to the long southern ridge for ascent to the summit. |

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu & transfer to hotel
Day02-03: Preparation day
Day 04: Fly Kathmandu to Lukla & trek to Chutanga (3050m)
Day 05: Trek to Tuli Kharka (4320m) via Zatrwa-La (4610m)
Day06: Trek to Tashing Ongma (3580m)
Day07: Trek to Mosom Kharak (3691m)
Day08: Trek to Gondishung (4180m)
Day09: Trek to Tangnag (4356m)
Day 10: Trek to Khare (4850m)
Day11: Trek to Rato Odhar (5000m).
Day12: Trek to the Five Lakes (5250m).
Day13: Trek to Baruntse Base Camp (5450m).
Day 14-23: Climbing period of Baruntse
Day 24: BC to Amphu Laptcha, camp
Day 25: Trek to Chhukung,(4730m)

NEPAL EXTENSIONS
There are a variety of interesting extensions you might choose to add on either before or after your trek. These options include:
Chitwan National Park Tour
It provides excellent opportunities to view the rare species such as sloth bear, bison, rhinoceros, leopard and the exclusive tiger. Early morning jungle walks and safaris on elephant back are amongst the most popular activities. The jungle lodge can be reached from Kathmandu either by air or by private vehicle.
Mount Everest Scenic Flight
An hour flight departs Kathmandu early morning and provides spectacular views of Mount Everest and the surrounding mountains.
Culture/Heritage Tour
Nepal boasts a rich cultural diversity and it is well worth exploring. The Himalayan country of Nepal is a dream-world for many and reality for some. Bunjee Jumping
Nepal has become one of the best sites in the world for bungee jumping. The country’s first bungee jumping site is situated 160m over the roaring Bhote Koshi river, located close to the Nepal Tibet border (Kodari) just three hour’s drive from Kathmandu.
Water Rafting
Nepal is also popular as one of the best destinations for white water rafting in the world. Cruising down rushing river of crashing waves and swirling rapids can make up excitement of a lifetime. Nepal’s thundering waters, coming from the glaciers of the mighty Himalaya provide unmatched thrills for rafting & immersing oneself in the beautiful landscape.
Paragliding
Paragliding is relatively new adventure sport in Nepal, and can be truly wonderful and fulfilling experience for adventure seekers.
