Everest region is the second most popular trekking area in Nepal. The region is home to the world's highest mountains including Mt. Everest (8850 m), Lhotse (8511 m), Nuptse (7879 m), Makalu (8470 m),Ama Dablam (6856 m) and countless peaks. This is the most concentrated mountain region where more than 200 peaks are higher than 6000 m. A large number of mountaineers and trekkers are drawn to the Everest region that leads through the Sagarmatha National Park.This region known for legendary Sherpa community and monasteries is abundant with high-alpine flora and fauna. To be seen on the way are astounding views of some parts of the Himalaya. The path also leads to Dudh Koshi valley and forests of blooming rhododendron, blue pine and fir. |
