Overview
The Tengboche Monastery is the most important monastery for the Sherpas of the Khumbu region. It is a tradition that every climbing expedition to Mt. Everest be blessed by the head Lama of this monastery. The monastery is also significant because a decree from the Lama prohibits killing within the premises which is largely the reason why the Sagarmatha National Park is a refuge for a variety of endangered fauna.
Although there are many trekking routes, the trekkers who has tight schedule can select this trek. This trek surely offers you the panoramic views of highest mountains in the Himalaya without hiking to extreme altitudes. The trekkers will also get chance to share their moment with village people. |
Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrival Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel
Day 02 : Fly to Lukla (2840 m) & Trek to Phakding (2610 m)
Day 03 : Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440 m)
Day 04 : Rest Day at Namche Bazaar
Day 05 : Trek to Tengboche Monastery (3867 m)
Day06 : Trek to Namche Bazar (3440 m)
Day07 : Trek back to Lukla (2886 m)
Day08 : Fly back to Kathmandu 1340 m & transfer to Hotel |

NEPAL EXTENSIONS
There are a variety of interesting extensions you might choose to add on either before or after your trek. These options include:
Chitwan National Park Tour
It provides excellent opportunities to view the rare species such as sloth bear, bison, rhinoceros, leopard and the exclusive tiger. Early morning jungle walks and safaris on elephant back are amongst the most popular activities. The jungle lodge can be reached from Kathmandu either by air or by private vehicle.
Mount Everest Scenic Flight
An hour flight departs Kathmandu early morning and provides spectacular views of Mount Everest and the surrounding mountains.

Bunjee Jumping
Nepal has become one of the best sites in the world for bungee jumping. The country’s first bungee jumping site is situated 160m over the roaring Bhote Koshi river, located close to the Nepal Tibet border (Kodari) just three hour’s drive from Kathmandu.
Water Rafting
Nepal is also popular as one of the best destinations for white water rafting in the world. Cruising down rushing river of crashing waves and swirling rapids can make up excitement of a lifetime.
