This recently introduced Saribung Peak in the Annapurna region is ideal for those climbers wanting to do non technical climbing along with trekking to Lo Manthang. Till date, only a few of climbers have attempted the summit. Saribung (6346m) Peak which lies in the isolated area in Damodar Himal, near Damodarkund, bordering with Tibet.
This Peak ; however, not a technical climbing though it is considered to be a challenging expedition due to altitude variation and remoteness of the area. Stretched dry rugged terrain and glacier, the most travel for climbing requires the use of a jumar.
The route initially follows the Upper Mustang Trek to Lo-Manthang and Lury Gompa before heading off into the wilds of Namta Khola Valley. After ascending the peak summit, we trek to Phu Valley in Manang district.
